What’s your motivation?
Recently when walking with a friend they asked me, what do you for motivation?
Your done with work and you know you need to get your workout in but you really don’t want too
It’s early, you know you should get your day started with movement but you want the extra sleep.
So what is your motivation to workout?
Honestly, my biggest fear in life is dying and having any serious illness or disease.
While I know it’s inevitable to prevent this I know I can prolong it by taking care of my body.
I workout for me.
I workout to be healthy.
I workout for any future children I might have.
I workout for my family.
I workout for my not only my physical health but my mental health.
I workout because I get too.
Because I want to....
To reduce mortality rates
To lower risk of cancers
To reduce heart disease and blood pressure
To reduce my risk of stroke
To lower my risk of type two diabetes
To decrease anxiety and depression
But also know...
Discipline > motivation
Because you won’t always be motivated.
You just have to decide what is important to you.
And right now my health both physically and mentally is the best it’s ever been.
That’s motivation enough.
