I love losing muscle…
Said NO ONE EVER.
Seriously, no one wants to lose muscle.
How many times have you heard someone say they were happy about it?
I am guessing not very often.
Why?
Because muscle is strength.
Because muscle is support.
Because muscle is longevity.
Because muscle is life.
Literally.
And this is why you see me so passionate about strength training and building muscle.
Because as we age our muscle mass decreases by 3-5% in each decade of life.
Because muscle mass supports our overall health, decreases body fat, protects us from falls, aids in preventing chronic illnesses, allows us to run around with our kids and grandkids, and just allows us to live a stronger, healthier life and more.
Debunk the myths.
Change the fear of looking bulky. Losing muscle is worse.
Change the fear of having to lift heavy. You get to lift heavy.
Change the fear of hours working out. You only need to train 2-3x per week for 15-30 minutes.
Here is your reminder that it is 10000% okay to be strong.
Muscle is essential for a long, high quality life.
Muscle is the organ of longevity.
