No place like the present

Often living in the present is hard.

Constantly worry about what's next: the to-do lists, schedules, kids events, work, life, responsibilities, you name it.

We often forget to live in the moment.

And that's exactly what I have been doing and why I missed a weekly email or have been a little MIA.

Helping friends

Celebrating friends

Weekend getaways

Being a cool aunt

And so much more

Simply living.

It's time to stop rushing mentally into the next thing and actually live in the moment you're in.

Become aware of the rush: What's next, I need to get to the next thing, I don't have time for this.

Start building micro-moments of presence: When sipping your coffee, really taste it. When your kid laughs, hear the joy. When sunlight hits your skin, feel it.

Slow it down and stop rushing: learn to be grounded and simply breathe.

Ask: “What’s Enough Right Now?”: Not: What haven’t I done yet? Instead: What can I give my full attention to right now? Presence isn’t about doing nothing—it’s about doing one thing, with care.

Let Joy Be Small. We often wait for vacations or milestones to enjoy life. Instead, let joy be: A warm shower. A kind text. Your favorite snack. Laughing at a dumb meme.

Remember: “Now is the Only Time That’s Real”: The future doesn’t exist yet. The past is a memory. Now is the only place you can feel, act, love, or rest. It’s not about doing less—it’s about being more in whatever you’re already doing.

Grounding Affirmations for Living in the Moment

  1. “This moment is enough.”

  2. “Right now is all I need to be in.”

  3. “I don’t have to live the whole day at once.”

  4. “I choose to be here—not in the next task.”

It's time to stop rushing mentally into the next thing and actually live in the moment you're in.
